In college, as student government president, I stood before 7,800 people on the one-year anniversary of 9/11. I had prepared remarks.

I never used them.

I spoke from instinct instead.

Because sometimes the page isn’t enough.
You have to understand what a room needs.

Before voiceover, I worked as an EMT and handled security for touring rock bands across the country. I’ve been in environments where staying calm, reading the room, and responding with control wasn’t impressive.

It was required.

That experience shapes how I approach this work.
